We realize success is relative, but the Hunger Banquet this past weekend was a HUGE success! We had a total of 1900 people in attendance both nights and raised a sparkling 15,000 dollar (OH MY GOSH!) Despite the people that left wondering why they spend seven dollars for a portion of beans and rice, we really affected people. Props to everyone that came, donated, set up, advertised, haggled restaurants, and/or gave their souls to so that blessed event could really happen.

This is what the ballroom looked like before we summoned our troupes on it

doesn't it look amazing? wasn't it amazing?

None of it would have been possible without these beautiful

The Hunger Banquet gave us a forum to spread out knowledge about the world's poor. Some left feeling guilty and not knowing what to do. But this money will go to support organizations around the world that are fighting the injustice of poverty. Organizations like
Sowers of Hope and
Koins for Kenya are finding innovative and sustainable ways to facilitate human development in all areas of the world. We feel relieved, we feel empowered, but most of all we feel
hope.
