Here is a bio from the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. Burt is a visiting professor and member of the Global Center Advisory Board at the University of the Pacific.

Burt was also quoted in a New York Times article this week about new strategies for education and development., and was also honored at the 2007 BYU ESR Conference, as Social Innovator of the Year. An audio excerpt of his remarks at that conference can be found here.

Burt was recently honored at World Innovation Summit for Eduaction (WISE), for his efforts to develop self-sustainable schools through the Teach a Man to Fish Foundation.
